Just wondering, but are most people reluctant to type a title or keyword in Search before posting a topic? Oh, I try my best to see if a topic has been started before I post something. But multiple posting of a breaking news story? Nothing is so urgent that it needs to be posted so quickly. Sometimes scrolling down the first or next page will show a story has already been posted.

Would need some help in finding a friend of my dad that he would like to re-unite with. He hasn't seen this buddy in over 40 years. All we know is that he was in the navy and is old enough to receive social security. Can't find him in Facebook. Would Social Security admin assist in finding someone? Would Veterans Affairs? If they could help what offices should be contacted? Any help from anyone who has ever tried to find someone they want to re-connect with would be really appreciated. Many thanks.

The FBI has joined the search for a 2-year-old Washington state boy who was last seen by his mother inside a parked car. Sky Metalwala was reported missing Sunday morning after his mother discovered him missing from her car in Bellevue, Wash. The child's mother told police that she had run out of gas and left the boy buckled into his car seat while she and her 4-year-old daughter walked to a Chevron gas station, about a mile away. It's not often I read about a new project that leaves me undecided whether it's totally crazy or a stroke of genius. I was recently sent a news release of such a project and, having read it over a few times, I think I'm leaning toward the latter. The idea is the brain child of British amateur astronomer Nick Howes who not only has a passion for hunting for asteroids, but also for the Space Race — in particular, the Apollo era.

Freepers, Google and other search engines are now filtering your search results based on your browsing habits, your computer, your location, any data they can mine from your online activity. Presumably this is done for marketing purposes, but the really ugly aspect, especially for conservatives is that they can filter for political affiliation, which means that if Joe Average searches on Sarah Palin, he may end up with only results that are critical of Sarah. Same for any other candidate. This is FASCISM and we need to blow this issue to the moon. Get on it people, raise some Hell....

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. -- An all-out search is under way for a man accused of trying to kidnap a girl. The incident happened in a quiet neighborhood in Clarksville on Saturday. According to police, a man in his mid- to late-30s grabbed a 10-year-old girl who was riding her bike and tried to abduct her. A federal jury will soon decide if an alleged warrant-less search by the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office will cost the county money. On Monday, former sheriff Mark McClure sat on one side of Judge William C. O'Kelley's courtroom in Gainesville while the plaintiff Geoffrey Asher sat on the other. Back when the new measures were first widely introduced, I blogged about why a Fourth Amendment challenge to the new practices was an uphill battle. Today, the DC Circuit handed down an opinion in EPIC v. Department of Homeland Security holding that the new practices comply with the Fourth Amendment. I've had my encounters with the TSA on a number of occasions. I would be considered a TSA Troll if such a definition existed. I follow their Twitter and have had some back and forth constitutional arguments with them about their ignorance, stupidity, and illegal actions. I'm convinced that since I use my real name and practically DARE them to discriminate against me for my outspokenness that I'm on their pat-down list. Not long ago, the TSA rightfully recognized that their willful disregard for American civil liberties has given them a black eye that probably won't go away any time...
